Hello, everyone. And welcome back to the Better Than A Pill podcast. I'm Cari Vann, and I'm so grateful to be able to come on again here to share with you guys today. And today's episode is going to be really brief, but it's really an important topic. And I'm going to be talking about what I mean by exercising and how to actually exercise.

So  un exercising is unlearning what you may have done in terms of exercise in the past.  I talked about this in my own story in one of the earlier episodes when I was forced to actually slow down and listen to my body.  It is important to learn how to exercise in an intentional manner.  When we slow down,  we begin to pay attention.

We become more aware. more mindful because we're actually  listening to our bodies. We also stop pushing through pain. We're not ignoring this pain. We're paying attention.  We become more intentional about connecting our mind and body through breathing.  This really leads to Enhanced focus and concentration, as well as calmness and a sense of well being that aids in lowering stress and reducing anxiety  through exercising.

is also where we have the opportunity to unwind and rebuild.  By this I mean building a firm foundation for your body that will support it in all of its movements.  You also begin to view movement as a mindful Form of medicine to help you feel better so you can enjoy the activities you love.  It's a holistic approach that takes into account the whole person and everything that goes on with that person.

It's a very, very important part of the complete body method. And as you've heard me say before, I did not come up with the complete well body method overnight. It's been a long journey through lots of education, training, and years of working hands on with people. You get to see patterns and there are key things that we need to be doing in each of the pillars that aid in reducing pain and discomfort as well as preventing further injury.

You begin to see things. I begin to see how it's just as much of a science as it is an art and it's the combination of all the pillars that's always been most important. At the heart of this is exercising and building a foundation.  I have to repeat that at the heart of this is exercising and building a foundation.

We have to start here. If we don't have a firm foundation to stand on, we can't support our mind and bodies in a way that is optimal.  It brings me great joy. You've heard me say this before to see people feel better. I love to help people achieve the freedom of movement they desire. And it helped them to influence in a positive manner, all aspects of their lives.

That includes mental, emotional, physical health, relationships, health, as well as rediscovering the joy in their life and their favorite activities.  If you're interested to learn specifically about how the complete well body method could benefit you and your unique needs. The first step I take with everyone I work with is a consultation.

This helps me to understand your individual needs, whether it's for injury prevention or addressing specific discomforts you experience while moving or exercising. It allows me to gain more insight into your situation and determine if you might be a good candidate for the Complete Well Modified Method.
